In the beginning of 2006 Pirelli Labs and ENEA, Ente per le Nuove Tecnologie, l'Energia e l'Ambiente set up three important research projects in the field of renewable energy and sustainable development, in the framework of a five years general agreement.

The first projects regard concentrator photovoltaic thecnology, new generation sensors for environment application and base research study in the field of cold fusion.
